Raptor Watch is MNS signature event to raise awareness on migratory birds and the need for their conservation. Since its inception in 2000, Raptor Watch has grown from strength to strength with more volunteers, schoolchildren, and sponsors participating every year. Activities carried out at the event comprise exhibitions and booths, scheduled nature treks, mangrove and marine walks, conservation talks, video screenings and Raptor Counts. Last year approximately 37,876 raptors were recorded flying back toward the northern part. This year we are going to expect more than what we have seen last year inclusive of great weather!
